Dança Carajás Festival was created in 2022 with the mission of strengthening dance in Amazônia, valuing artists from South and Southeast Pará and creating connections with other territories and cultural circuits.

The project was structured by JA Produções Artísticas to integrate competitive showcase, technical training, specialized evaluation, circulation, communication, accessibility and institutional articulation.

Its inaugural edition was held in 2023 at Centro Cultural Parauapebas, consolidating a technical and operational base for developing new projects and connections.

Inaugural edition

The first cycle carried out in Parauapebas.

The inaugural edition was held at Centro Cultural Parauapebas and brought together artists, groups, choreographers, professionals and audiences in competitive and formative programming.

The edition established the festival’s curatorial, technical and institutional base and demonstrated JA Produções’ capacity to organize a multi-front cultural operation.
